Cleaning
Komfort nitrile is built around one specific problem: workers wearing gloves all day on production lines. The 6 mil thickness is heavier than a standard 4 mil examination glove (more durability, fewer mid-shift tears) but the soft-stretch nitrile compound is engineered to flex with the hand instead of fighting it. The result is a glove that holds up through a long shift without the fatigue that thicker rigid nitrile creates by hour six.

Why 6 Mil for All-Day Wear

The standard examination nitrile is 4 mil — light enough for sensitivity but thin enough to tear during extended manipulation work. The standard heavy-duty nitrile is 8 mil (see our Diamond Black) — durable but stiff and tiring across a long shift. Komfort lands at 6 mil deliberately: enough thickness for production-line durability, light enough that hands aren't fatigued by the end of the shift.

Soft-Stretch vs Standard Nitrile

Standard nitrile is a rigid material — it gives some, but it doesn't stretch. After a few hours of fine-motor work, that rigidity translates to hand fatigue. Soft-stretch nitrile is a different formulation — a softer compound that flexes with the hand. The practical effect is that a Komfort-wearing worker at hour eight feels closer to a standard-nitrile-wearing worker at hour two. For operations issuing gloves to staff working full production shifts, this matters.

Black for Production Environments

The black colour is a production-floor choice — minor stains and material residue don't show, so workers don't change gloves out of cosmetic concern when they're still functionally fine. This isn't relevant in food zones (where regulations dictate timing), but for cleaning, packing, and general-handling production lines, it extends usable life per pair.

Food-Safe and Powder-Free

Despite the production-line framing, Komfort meets food-contact standards — appropriate for food production facilities, just with a black colour profile rather than the standard food-service blue. Powder-free (no residue contaminating product or surfaces) and latex-free.

When Komfort vs Diamond vs TouchFlex

Komfort sits in the middle of the nitrile range. TouchFlex Black (4.5 mil) is for sensitive precision work — thinner, more dexterous. Diamond Black (8 mil) is for grip-critical heavy work — thicker, with diamond texture. Komfort (6 mil, soft-stretch) is for the everyday long-shift production worker who needs durability AND comfort across the full day.

Where This Product Is Used

Food Manufacturing
Production-line handling, packing, and processing where staff wear gloves across full 8+ hour shifts
Industrial & Manufacturing
Assembly, packing, and light-handling production work where 4 mil tears too easily but 8 mil is overkill
Cleaning & Sanitation
Janitorial routes, facility cleaning, sanitation programs — sustained wear with chemical exposure
Healthcare
Long-shift care work where standard nitrile creates fatigue over the full shift

Frequently Asked Questions

Why 6 mil specifically?
It's the gap point. 4 mil is too thin for production-line work (tears mid-shift); 8 mil is too thick for all-day wear (hand fatigue by hour six). 6 mil with the soft-stretch compound delivers durability without the rigidity penalty.
What does "soft-stretch" mean?
A different nitrile formulation than standard exam nitrile — softer compound that flexes with the hand rather than against it. The practical impact: less hand fatigue across a long shift. If your team works 8+ hour shifts in gloves, this is the feature that matters most.
Can I use these for food handling?
Yes — Komfort is food-contact safe, suitable for food production facilities. The black colour isn't the typical food-service blue, but the material itself is food-grade. For front-of-house food service where blue is expected, see our TouchFlex Blue Nitrile.
How does Komfort compare to Diamond Black?
Both are heavy-mil black nitrile, but they're for different work. Diamond Black at 8 mil with aggressive diamond grip is for grip-critical wet/oily work (mechanic, automotive). Komfort at 6 mil with soft-stretch is for sustained production-line wear where comfort across the full shift matters more than maximum grip in slick conditions.
What sizes?
M, L, XL. If you need XS or S, see AdvanCare (XS through XL) or TouchFlex (S through XL).
How are they packaged?
100 gloves per box, 10 boxes per case. Mix-and-match wholesale supported across the full CLW glove line.
