Commercial toilet paper exists on a spectrum. At one end: maximum-length jumbo rolls optimized for refill labour. At the other: premium softness optimized for the user experience. Premium 2-Ply lives at the user-experience end. The fibre blend, the embossing pattern, and the ply lamination are all engineered for in-hand feel — not for stretching the longest possible footage out of a roll. For most facilities, this is wasteful in the wrong place. For hotel guest rooms, executive washrooms, and front-of-house restaurant washrooms, it's the table stakes.
The decision tree is simple: do guests see and use this washroom? If yes, premium 2-ply pays for itself in brand impression. The cost differential between a roll of premium TP-48 and a comparable footage of mini jumbo is small per-use, but the perceived quality gap is large. Hotels with three- and four-star ratings effectively can't run jumbo rolls in guest rooms — it would feel institutional. The same applies to fine-dining restaurants, executive office floors, premium retail, and high-end medical practices.
Komfort TP-48 carries FSC certification. Unlike lower-grade alternatives, premium tissue often blends virgin fibre (for softness) with virgin content (for sustainability and cost). FSC's mixed-source certification verifies that virgin fibre comes from responsibly managed forests. For LEED-targeting buildings and ESG-reporting tenants, this matters in procurement records.
The 48-roll case (TP-48) is the standard hospitality format — sized so a single case typically supplies a mid-size hotel for one full day across all guest rooms, or stocks a restaurant front-of-house for a week. The roll itself is sized to fit standard household-style dispensers (single roll, no spindle adapter needed) commonly used in guest washrooms.
